Presale of CS-Cart Multi-Vendor Starts

From today, you’re welcome to pre-order CS-Cart Multi-Vendor saving almost $300! This new edition of CS-Cart extends its default functionality and introduces a multi-vendor environment that allows many independent vendors to sell their goods in a single web store with a joint storefront and product catalog.

After the official release scheduled for early November 2010, CS-Cart Multi-Vendor will cost $985 for a new license, or $700 for the license upgrade. And now a new license goes at only $695 if you order it right away.

Can you post some details about the features or benefits or how it compares to the current version?

CS-Cart Multi-Vendor incorporates all features of the standard CS-Cart edition and, in addition, it enables third-party vendors to log in to the administration panel and populate the product catalog with their own products as well as set up own shipping methods. In other words, with Multi-Vendor you can allow other people or companies to their products in your store while with the standard edition you are supposed to be the only person/company selling products in the store.

We will update the description of CS-Cart Multivendor at our website soon, and now you can learn more about the features of CS-Cart Multi-Vendor in a special thread at CS-Cart Community Forums.

Could be good if you can give us a bit more details on the following:
    1) If Ialready have a CS-Cart license, do I get any discount on the multi-vendor license?
    2) If I buy the multi-vendor license, I suppose it would include 1-year free upgrade. When the 1 year is over, how much I pay for an additional year of upgrade?

CS-Cart Professional and CS-Cart Multi-Vendor are two different products, and if you have a Professional license and then buy a Multi-Vendor license you do not really obtain an additional license, but a brand new license. So, you cannot qualify for a discount on Multi-Vendor if you have CS-Cart Professional and vice versa.

Nonetheless, if you have CS-Cart Professional, you can upgrade to CS-Cart Multi-Vendor by covering the difference in cost between these two editions that will be $700. However, it does not seem reasonable now as before the official release you can buy a separate Multi-Vendor license for $695, which is less than the license upgrade.

Yes, Multi-Vendor will include 1 year of free upgrades as well. Prices for additional years of upgrades are listed in CS-Cart Upgrade Policy.

The answer given below is confusing. YOU WROTE: Nonetheless, if you have CS-Cart Professional, you can upgrade to CS-Cart Multivendor by covering the difference in cost ” I’ve read it several times and I’ve been with you for 2 years . I agree with another member “didn’t know there was a professional version”? The question was asked again. I’ll do the same again “if you own a license already, is there an upgrade discount if you plan to only use the multi-vendor version? I don’t want to maintain two support agreements.

The license upgrade from CS-Cart Professional (standard edition) to CS-Cart Multi-Vendor will cost $700. As a result of the license upgrade, you will get a CS-Cart Multi-Vendor license, but lose your CS-Cart Professional license.

No discounts on license upgrades are available at the moment.

In addition, if I buy the multi-vendor license, do I get a discount on the standard license (I suppose I should, as buying the 2nd license of the standard vesion would give me a $100 discount)?

    Please advice.

Next question, your write here “At checkout, the buyer selects shipping methods offered by the vendors whose products are in the cart, and then places and pays for one order.” what is when a customer order 3 products, but all three vendors have differently shipping methods, wich shipping method the buyer get in order checkout in this case?

Can i download first a trial, at this moment?

      Scanner,

Thank you for your questions. I’ll answer them all in this reply.

WOW, CS-Cart Professional. I´ve never heared before about a “CS-Cart Professional”. Where i see a compage between “CS-Cart Professional” and “CS-Cart” license? Because on your sales page i see only “CS-Cart shopping cart software” nothing from professional!? thanks

“CS-Cart Multivendor” is actually a new name of the standard edition. We decided to name it so that clients could easily distinguish different CS-Cart editions: now we have CS-Cart Professional and CS-Cart Multivendor, and a few more are expected.

Ohh and forget one. where i can see a demo from the multivendor, or a detail feature list, because i cant think about it when i do not see some more. thanks

Please study a special thread at CS-Cart Community Forums. There you’ll find a more detailed description of the software capabilities and a link to download an alpha release.

In this case, the buyer will need to select a shipping method for each vendor whose products are in the cart: a shipping method for Vendor 1, a shipping method for Vendor 2, a shipping method for Vendor 3, etc.

in previous version of CS cart, there is a add-on of suppliers, that can be used in same way of multiverdor,so CS-Cart Multivendor is absolutely a way of waste money.will not buy it.

Rgith now the add-on of suppliers has been moved from version of 2.1 ,so understand now what happend.

      David,

Rgith now the add-on of suppliers has been moved from version of 2.1 ,so understand now what happend.

In Cs-Cart 2.1, this functionality is available as a core feature, not an add-on module. To enable and configure supplies in a CS-Cart 2.1 based store, you need to log in to the administration panel and go to the section Administration -> Settings -> Suppliers. Everything works out-of-the-box.

in previous version of CS cart, there is a add-on of suppliers, that can be used in same way of multiverdor,so CS-Cart Multivendor is absolutely a way of waste money.will not buy it.

These things are not exactly the same. In CS-Cart Professional, products can only be flagged as belonging to a supplier, but suppliers have no access to the administration panel and they cannot do anything. In other words, “suppliers” is a facility to help the store administrator to track products supplied by third-party providers, and it is the store administrator who populates the catalog with products and does all other jobs. And with CS-Cart Multi-Vendor every vendor can physically access the administration panel and manage own products, shipping methods, orders, etc.

I gave a pre-order, help desk, but that basket, there’re 14 days cancellation is nonpayment. What kind of error. It ends after a certain period of time for payment of the site writes his account in trying to have removed the contents of the basket. Cart’re standing in the previous day, and the next day when I will pay the cart will be deleted.
