CS-Cart 2.2.2 Released

Hello,

We released CS-Cart 2.2.2 today. In spite of this magic version number, this release includes mainly bug fixes for the previous major update.

Nevertheless, a few improvements were made:

  • Payleap support was added to the CRE Secure payment module. Now you can use benefits of this robust payment system.
  • The visual editor can now be disabled in the admin panel, that is useful if you prefer to work with an HTML code directly or need to paste a ready HTML code to a number of input fields.
  • Loading speed of the Product Features page was increased and you will notice it if you have to deal with hundreds of items.
  • The Product configurator add-on was refactored. In addition, a product can now be included in several groups at once as well as a compatibility class can be compatible with more than one class.

Upgrade

You are welcome to download this new release from your personal Help Desk account.

Please note that the upgrade to this new version may be not available in your CS-Cart administration panel within the first 48 hours after the release because we limit the number of downloads during this period. After that, the upgrade package will be available to all CS-Cart users.

To review a complete list of fixes and improvements in CS-Cart 2.2.2, please refer to the release changelog.

As usual, you are welcome to post your suggestions and ideas to the CS-Cart Idea Tracker and report about all found bugs to our bug tracker.

      Hello Talal,

We apologize for this inconvenience. There was a small issue with .htaccess files in this CS-Cart version (that affected loading CSS files). Please apply this fix or contact our support team via our Customer Help Desk.

I will be using multi-vendor and I find it a problem that after an order is accepted, vendors can still change the order as declined. For vendors who will have to pay a commission and rely most on the cash-on-delivery payment methods (like my vendors), this asks for fraud waiting to happen. When a vendor sees the payment method is COD, it might be tempting to set all orders as declined immediately after having after accepted the order, so no fees have to be paid.

      Hi!
First off, thanks a lot for the tip. It is already reported to the developers team. I am sure it’ll be fixed as soon as possible.

      Hello!
All payments in multi-vendor are sent to the general administrator and they keep commission according to plan. If the administrator got more payments than paid orders, they’ll notice it. So, not to worry about the issue! Good luck!

Well, we can’t translate our product to every known language. Luckily, there are usually clients, who are ready to provide CS-Cart with some translations for special offers. Maybe, you’d help us? We are open for contact.

What happened to the Manufacturer Feature drop down selector box? Now it is a link that when clicked turns into a search box, and I can’t add new manufacturers from there anymore. Very annoying to have to switch to the features settings and add them in the feature variant rather than just selecting “add new” and entering it right on the product pages.

      Hi, Mark,

that’s quiet an important idea there, thanks. That is more of a feature gone a little wrong than a bug.
Please, submit this improvement on the Idea tracker and it may appear in the next release.
